Meet your Hairstylist! 

Jennifer Bordes is the owner behind JBD Hairstyling, Inc.

Jennifer is as passionate about your hair than you will ever be! She was gifted with hair styling at the young age of 10 where she taught herself the very basics of cornrows. It was during this time that she had this discovery, when her mom was away for her father’s funeral and she was stuck home with her dad who had no clue what to do with her hair. From that moment on Jennifer fell in love with all things hair. She has 4 sisters and had the opportunity to  practice her braiding skills and extension application on them. Jennifer’s favorite pastime was when she braided one of her sisters name in her hair: a trend that was very popular in the late 90’s early 2000’s. 

Jennifer has studied Cosmetology professionally at ARROJO Cosmetology in the heart of NYC (Tribeca) and then went on to attain her NY State license. She is a skilled Hair Colorist with a diverse background in creative and protective hair styling and hair cutting. 

When Jennifer is not in the salon, she is either sewing, spending time with close friends and family, watching Netflix, serving at her local church or trying to learn how to cook a new dish (you know regular human things). 

Serving behind the chair has been a long time dream for Jennifer and she loves learning as she continues to grow in her profession. She strives to continue educating herself with the latest information out there in the beauty industry, which is why she passionately strives to educate her clients on caring for their own natural hair when they are not in the salon. 

So whether you choose to wear your hair big or tuck it away in a protective style or just need routine maintenance, your hair is in good hands with Jennifer.
